It all started with a mistake. Two creative souls arrived by different paths to an apartment in the center of Malaga.

What was supposed to be an administrative conflict turned into the history that today defines this place.

Marino and Marina: an unexpected encounter

Marino, an Italian photographer with a curious eye, was looking for the perfect light in Malaga. Marina, a French writer, was fleeing the routine of Paris to finish her novel. They both had the same rental contract for the same apartment. ‘This is my home,’ she said. ‘What if it’s destiny?’ he replied. Between pages written and photographs taken, a story of love and creativity was born, which gave name to “Marino Marina” and has been the inspiration for the design, essence and name of the apartments.

A space with a soul of its own

The creative interior design studio Lago Interioriza has been the architect of the careful staging of our apartments, respecting the history and neoclassical character of the building. The inspiration of the twenties can be seen in the lamps and velvety fabrics, while a studied lighting creates cozy environments and warm corners where you can relax. The color palette recaptures the hues of the historic facades of downtown Malaga – blues, ochers and soft pinks – subtly integrated into walls, furniture and textiles. In addition, original architectural elements have been preserved and restored, such as the hydraulic floors and the old window shutters, which now function as decorative pieces that enrich each room. The result is a space that breathes history and elegance, where the past and contemporary comfort merge to offer an unforgettable experience.
